My dog likes the taste of this and it’s great for them! This food has a lot better ingredients then most dog foods, and obviously helps with overweight dogs. Dogs being overweight not only shortens their lifespan, but degrades overall quality of life, so it’s super important to make sure our doggies have the best. It’s worth it! (Results from dogs losing weight especially small dogs, takes timeee, don’t rush anything)

Hills Science Diet is backed by years of experience and research. It’s all we fed my previous dog who loved to be just about 17 years. When I switched my current dog to the non-weight version he liked it so much he put on a little extra weight so we transitioned to this formula and his weight has settled. He loves the food and I love knowing I am feeding my best friend a quality product.

Our 12 year old dachshund has 14 teeth removed a few months ago. We had to give her a softer pet food for a time, which ended up being too fatty. This gave her a pancreatitis. Not necessarily permanent, it made her sensitive to any other fatty kibble or treats.
After a few vet bills, we switched her to this Science Diet kibble. The pieces are small so that she can crunch them easily without harm to her teeth or gums. The loves the flavor as well.
The directions are clear about he amount to feed your pet depending on their goal weight or a weight to be maintained. Our dog (as most dachshunds are) are voracious eater. She has had about a week or complaining about the nature of the food- having less fat- being less filling, but has adjusted well. We feed her 3 times a day instead of two and a few low-fat treats for ‘outdoor performance’.
*SPECIAL NOTE*
The bag that was delivered is the older version of this kibble. It is rounded instead of triangular. The fat content is also slightly higher. Science Diet has changed the look of the bag and the shape of the kibble. Be sure that you are not getting outdated kibble.
